In May 2016 I moved from Southern California to New York City to begin my journey to become a Nurse Midwife.
In August 2017 I received my Master of Science in Nursing degree from Columbia University and became a Registered Nurse.
In April 2018 I began my Doctorate program in Certified Nurse Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.
In December of 2019, I will be a Certified Nurse Midwife!
I am currently taking time to focus on my midwifery studies while supporting people in their birth journey as a Registered Nurse. I am unable to take doula clients at this time.
I will be available to catch your baby in the Winter of 2019! Here's to following the dream!
WHY I'M HERE
Originally from a small mountain town in Southern Oregon, I was first introduced to the birth world after the homebirths of my childhood next-door neighbors. Having babies in the bathtub was the norm in my neighborhood.
Later in life, my passion for birth was further affirmed after spontaneously attending a birth while working as a documentarian in Ghana, Western Africa. There, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the strength that every birthing person inherently possesses. I have since dedicated my life to following my dream of becoming a nurse midwife and advocate for all people and families in the reproductive years.
WHAT I DO NOW
I am now a Registered Nurse and advocate for reproductive health care and rights.
I received my Master of Science in Nursing degree from Columbia University in New York City, New York. I am currently attaining my Doctorate degree in Certified Nurse Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.
In addition to my independent Doula, encapsulation, and birth photography practice, I have previously had the honor to work with the many beautiful clients as a Midwife Assistant and Birth Assistant at South Coast Midwifery and Women’s Health Care in Irvine, California.
I believe in a person's natural right to take charge and follow their intuition during pregnancy and birth. Every birthing person has the opportunity to listen to their body, freely enjoy their birth journey, and gently bring forth their baby in a peaceful, caring environment surrounded by support and love.
